PAGCOR set to launch app to verify licensed status in December

A December launch date has been set for a mobile app to help players in the Philippines detect licensed online gaming platforms and avoid black market operators.

Alejandro H Tengco, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), said the app will strengthen the agency’s fight against the illegal market by guiding players to legitimate operators.

PAGCOR has been on the front foot in combating the black market during the second half of 2026, building on last year’s launch of the PAGCOR Guarantee online verification page, which allows players to verify if an operator holds the required licence.

The app’s development and implementation were approved earlier this month by the corporation’s board. Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the platform will be developed, hosted, operated and maintained through a proposed partnership with Development Bank of the Philippines Data Center Inc (DCI) at no extra cost to PAGCOR.

Tengco commented:..
